How can I prevent my pipes from freezing?

By insulating your pipes, especially those in unheated areas or external walls, you can prevent your pipes from freezing during cold weather.

Check for clogged aerators or shower heads, and inspect for leaks. If the issue persists, you may need a professional inspection. By installing a water pressure regulator you can better control your home’s water pressure.

If you are experiencing a lack of hot water, not enough hot water, unusual noises or smells from the water heater, or you see obvious signs of a leak, it is probably time to have a professional take a look at your water heater.

It’s recommended to flush your water heater at least once a year to remove sediment buildup and maintain efficiency.

Noises like popping or rumbling often indicate sediment buildup in the tank, which can reduce efficiency and should be addressed before causing irreversible damage.

Dripping faucets are usually caused by the wear and tear to the rubber or composition washers within the faucet that close onto a metal washer seat. Typically, when faucets begin to leak, it means that it’s time to have the internal mechanisms, including washers, replaced or repaired.

Normally a leaky faucet requires replacing a worn-out washer, O-ring, or cartridge. Over time, wear and tear will cause faucets to degrade where it is suggested to replace the faucet rather than repair.

Avoid chemical cleaners, as they can damage your pipes over time. Instead, try using a plunger or a drain snake to clear the blockage. If the clog persists, contact us today.

A dripping tub faucet usually needs a new washer or cartridge. Replacing these can stop the leak. If your tub is still dripping, contact us today for a faucet replacement.

A slow-draining shower is often due to a clog caused by hair, soap scum, or debris. Cleaning the drain regularly can help prevent this. If your drain is continuously clogged, contact us today

If you experience unexplained drain backups, such as water coming out of the shower drain or bathroom sink after the toilet is flushed, it’s likely that there is a problem with the main sewer line. Unusual clogs such as these are usually symptoms of a larger issue and should be addressed by a professional as soon as possible to avoid further damage.

A running toilet is typically caused by a faulty flapper or fill valve. Replacing these parts usually fixes these issues. If your toilet is still giving you problems, contact us today for toilet replacement services.

Use a plunger first. If that doesn’t work, a drain snake may be necessary. Avoid flushing non-flushable items to prevent clogs. If you are still experiencing issues with your toilet, contact us today

Never flush anything down the toilet that shouldn’t be flushed, including baby wipes, paper towels, or feminine products. If a foreign item falls into the toilet, such as a toy or hairbrush, do not flush it. Try to avoid using excess toilet paper as well as this can lead to clogs.

You can check for leaks by adding a few drops of food coloring into the tank of the toilet and observing whether or not the water in the bowl changes color. If the water changes colors, it’s time to call a professional for repair or replacement.

Avoid putting grease, fibrous food like celery, bones, and coffee ground down the disposal to prevent clogs and damage. If you are still having issues with your garbage disposal, contact us today for replacement services.

Turn off the disposal and use an Allen wrench to turn the motor from underneath. If that doesn’t work, you may need a replacement or professional assistance. Contact us today for garbage disposal replacements.

Look for signs like unexplained wet spots in your yard, low water pressure, or an unusually high water bill.

Yes, tree roots can infiltrate and damage drain lines. Regular inspections can help catch this issue early.

Avoid pouring grease, coffee grounds, or large food particles down the drain. Use drain covers to catch hair and debris.

Regularly inspect hoses for cracks and replace them every 3-5 years. Ensure the macine is level to prevent unnecessary strain.

A blocked drain or clogged filter is often the culprit. Cleaning these parts can usually resolve the issue.

Turn off the water supply to the affected area and contact a plumber immediately to prevent water damage.

Check your water meter when no water is being used, listen for dripping sounds, and look for mold or water stains on walls or ceilings.
